The linen Rabbit FAQ’s
WHat is THE Linen Rabbit Shop, what do you sell?
Did you ever visualize some accessory for your home that you just couldn’t find? Yeah, me too. In 2015 I began to sew my own seat cushions and pillows trying to make the things I couldn’t seem to source or found out of reach. Almost immediately my neighbors and friends starting asking if I could do the same for them. I opened my Etsy shop as a means to manage those requests and never imagined it would have grown to what it is now. I continue to handcraft cushions, pillows, kitchen linens and more in styles and fabrics that I want in my own home. The Linen Rabbit is me and my sewing machine, the few basic crafting skills I have, a sprinkle of what I learned in interior design school and lots of trial and error. If I get in a pickle and can’t figure something out I seek advice from my mom and mother-in-law, both expert level sewers. Everything I do is in small batches and while I offer my best nothing is ever perfectly perfect. If you are hoping for laser straight seams and finishing this isn’t the shop for you.
How do I access the shop, when is it open?
The Linen Rabbit shop is exclusively taking orders on Etsy at this time. From the website, access via the ‘Shop’ link in the navigation menu or to connect directly via Etsy, search shop name ‘The Linen Rabbit’. The shop opens once per month, typically mid-month, unless otherwise announced. Shop opening dates and times are shared 1-2 weeks in advance via my Instagram profile, posts & stories. To receive email notifications, sign up for the mailing list where indicated on the home page. On shop opening days, the shop will remain open for two hours to accept orders OR until available inventory sells out, whichever happens first.
I missed out on something i wanted to order, what can I do?
In recent months the shop has been selling out rather quickly upon opening, often times well before the two hour mark. Everything is handmade in small batches, so quantities tend to be very limited. Many of the most popular sellers are made available again month after month. Items are showcased in advance via Instagram in the days leading up to a shop date and on the monthly shop ‘preview page’ of this website. Made available only during the week prior to the shop opening each month, the preview page offers a peek at all of the items which will be available for order during that month’s sale. Once the shop opens items will be made available for purchase on Etsy. One important note, Etsy doesn’t hold or reserve items in your shopping cart for any duration of time until you actually check out. I know that can be frustrating. I do hope if you missed out on something you wanted that you will visit back in the following month.
Can I pre-Order, do you take custom orders?
At this time I do not offer pre-orders or keep a wait list, and am only accepting orders on shop opening days each month. The best way to keep up on shop opening days and times is to follow along on Instagram or join the mailing list. Any openings for custom orders will be announced in advance of shop opening days via Instagram and on the monthly shop preview page of the website.
can we collaborate?
I am truly humbled when someone wants to collaborate with my shop, however it is my personal policy not to participate in collaborations. From time to time clients who have made purchases from my shop will share to their social media and I love seeing customers enjoy their pillows or aprons. Likewise, I do not accept offers from other businesses to send me items to feature on my social media. I am always glad to share sources for fixtures in my home or post about things I have purchased and love, but never in collaboration with anyone or because I have been asked or compensated to.
Do you OFFeR WHOLESALE?
I hand craft items in small quantities and do not offer wholesale.
I AM LOCAL, DO YOU DELIVER OR CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER?
Apologies, but I am unable to make arrangements for local pick up or delivery. All orders are shipped via USPS.
