Modern Farmhouse Style Magazine Summer 2020 Feature

Early in 2020 we had the honor of welcoming a very talented photographer/stylist team from Better Homes & Gardens into our home for a photo shoot. We could never have imagined the result would land our kitchen on the cover of the Summer 2020 issue of Modern Farmhouse Style magazine. Must admit, seeing Potter the pup looking back at us from the magazine rack in the checkout stand at the grocery is quite a surreal experience. It has definitely gone to his head. Secretly, I love that they called the feature ‘Sprinkled with Soul’. If you follow my baking & cookie adventures in my Instagram stories you have probably seen my somewhat extensive sprinkle collection. They even have their own giant drawer in my kitchen.

Since the release of the feature, and the subsequent re-feature in the Fall 2021 issue of Country Home magazine, we have been contacted regularly regarding sources for some of the items depicted in our home. Below is a summary of belongings most inquired about along with where we got them. And if anyone calls from BHG about taking photos at your house, let them in. You won’t be sorry. Their team is so talented, professional, and fun. I’m actually beyond introverted. It took us a while to commit to the project but in the end I’m really glad we did. It was a great experience and the people we met have been amazing. And I have the most incredible capture of my beloved Potter pup to treasure for all time.
